Some reports said that the new hires at its Irvine studio points towards the rumoured Diablo 2 HD remaster, or possibly even Diablo 4. Diablo 4 would be huge, but whether it's ready anytime soon is another matter entirely. Whatever game these job listings refer to is still a long way off though considering Blizzard still doesn't have a creative director to oversee the entire project. The current vacancies available at Blizzard's Irvine studio are for a Character Art Supervisor, Senior Environment Artists, Senior Technical Artist, Senior Sound Designer, a pair of Software Engineers, a Creative Director, and Production Director (Unannounced Project).
That last position, in particular, is very interesting, acting as confirmation that a new Diablo is inbound. The big question now is whether that comes in the form of Diablo 4 or Diablo 2 Remastered. All we can glean from the post is that this a proper, AAA title.
